Dr. Ariel Jorge Reyes is Director of the Institute of Cardiovascular Theory, Montevideo, Uruguay. He is President of Latin American Society of Hypertension and Latin American Society of Heart Failure and on the Editorial board of many journals. His principal research and clinical interests include Clinical pharmacology and therapeutic uses of diuretics in cardiovascular medicine, Clinical pharmacology and therapeutic uses of antihypertensive drugs, Uric acid in cardiovascular medicine, and Pathophysiology and treatment of heart failure et al. He has published more than 220 original research and review articles that appeared in journals or as book chapters.
