Save the date! This two-day program, immediately before ACC.09 and i2 Summit, is designed for clinicians, cardiologists, quality improvement managers and other health care providers. It will provide attendees with late-breaking enhancements to the NCDR suite of cardiovascular registries including ACTION Registry–GWTG, the CathPCI Registry, the ICD Registry and the CARE Registry.
Highlighted topics will include data collection, case studies, data interpretation, benchmarking, and quality improvement. NCDR participants and ACC members representing each registry will share insights and experience. The program will examine each registry individually and within the context of NCDR.

This exciting session welcomes attendees to the 58th Annual Scientific Session with some of the most hallowed traditions of the College. Join us for Dr. W. Douglas Weaver’s Presidential Address on health care reform and learn how you can become part of the solution. The Simon Dack Lecture will be presented by renowned health care economist Uwe Reinhardt, Ph.D. Reinhardt is expected to focus on the economics of health care. Also, don’t miss the showcase of the key scientific developments scheduled to be released during the Scientific Session, as well as major events and initiatives underway.

40th Annual Louis F. Bishop Lecture

Len Nichols, Ph.D., a respected health care economist will present the Bishop Lecture.
