　　第八届中国南方（岭南）国际心血管病学术会议将于2006年3月30日至4月2日在中国广州东方宾馆国际会议中心隆重举行。我们热烈地欢迎来自世界各地从事心血管病疾病防治、研究事业的专家学者们，让我们在春暖花开的羊城欢聚一堂，欣赏灿烂的木棉花，聆听世界著名专家的精彩演讲，交流各自的工作经验，发表最新的研究成果……

　　 在上届岭南会的基础上，本届会议的主办单位增加了多个专业学会，主要由中华医学会杂志社、继续教育部以及我国南方各省市和港澳地区心血管病专科学会联合主办。会议宗旨在于加强国际、国内心血管领域之间的学术交流，及时了解该领域的最新发展动态。会议期间设有心脏内科国际论坛、心脏外科国际论坛、介入心脏病学国际论坛、心脏起搏与电生理国际论坛、心血管基础医学国际论坛、高血压及相关疾病国际论坛、心血管影像学国际论坛、小儿心脏病学论坛、周围血管疾病论坛、肺血管疾病论坛、心理心脏病学论坛、心力衰竭与再生医学国际论坛、预防心脏病学国际论坛、心血管病急危重症论坛、心血管病护理论坛等等，并首度设立香港心脏专科学院专场会议。届时，将有来自欧美、亚太及中国内地、港澳台地区的一百多位著名心血管病专家做精彩的讲学。

　　Dear colleallgues & distinguished guests,

　　 The 8^th South China International Congress of Cardiology (SCC) will be held on March 30^th-April 2^nd, 2006 at International Conference Centre, Dongfang Hotel, Guangzhou, China. A warm welcome will be given to specialists in the prevention, treatment and research of cardiovascular diseases from all over the world to Guangzhou in this splendid kapok blooming spring. It is a golden opportunity to share experience and the most updated research findings.  

　　 The Congress is co-sponsored by more organizations than the previous one, mainly by Chinese Medical Association，and cardiovascular societies at provincial or municipal levels in the south of China, Hong Kong and Macao. Our aim is to strengthen academic exchange at home and abroad and learn about the up-to-date development in this field. During the conference, a series of forums will be held, including international forums on cardiology, cardiac surgery, intervention cardiology, cardiac pacing and electro physiology, cardiovascular preclinical medicine, hypertension and related diseases, iconography, heart failure and neogenesis medicine, and forums on pediatric cardiology, peripheral vascular diseases, pulmonary vascular diseases, psychiatric cardiology, acute and intensive cardiovascular diseases and cardiovascular nursing. A special Hong Kong College of Cardiology conference will be set up for the first time. More than 100 well-known cardiovascular specialists around the world will give their marvelous reports.
