        安得森 (Dr. Anderson) 博士于犹他大学化学系本科毕业后,入读哈佛大学医学院并以优异成绩毕业。曾在斯坦福大学作博士后研究,在密西根大学工作2年后进入犹他大学工作。于1989年获聘犹他大学内科学教授。他是内科学及临床电生理专家,是美国心脏病学院会员,也是美国心脏病协会临床委员会委员。曾任美国医师协会常委,犹他州主委。曾任美国心脏病协会犹他州主委,是西安交通大学医学院名誉教授。

        安得森博士长期致力于心血管病学研究,在抗心律失常的治疗、心脏性猝死的预防、急性心肌梗死和不稳定性心绞痛的溶栓与抗栓治疗,充血性心力衰的临床试验研究等方面多有贡献,目前正从事包括心律失常基因多态性及新的心血管危险因素的研究。以他为作者或共同作者的论文或受邀撰写的专著共500篇,摘要350篇。

        与Muhlestein博士一道建立了行心导管检查患者的大样本(超过13000例患者)的DNA和血清学资料库,并对其长期随访。此外,与Muhlestein博士一道建立了与中国长达20年的临床合作与研究(如西安交通大学医学院第一附属医院)。目前的协作包括比较中国汉族人群与与欧美高加索人群心血管疾病遗传多态性的作用的研究。他也和LDS医院的张莉医生协作进行有关心律失常心脏电生理遗传方面的研究。

        安德森博士是LDS医院心脏中心副主任,心血管研究室的主任,犹他大学内科学教授。他在从事繁忙的心脏病学临床工作之余,定期指导医学和医学预科学生、住院医师、心脏病专科培训医师和内科医师。

        Dr. Jeffrey L. Anderson attended medical school at Harvard, graduating with honors, after receiving an undergraduate degree at the University of Utah in Chemistry.He completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Cardiology at StanfordUniversityand joined the faculty at the University of Utah in 1980 after 2 years at the University of Michigan.

        Dr. Anderson attained the rank of Professor of Medicine, University of Utah, in 1989.He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Electrophysiology.He is a fellow of the AmericanCollege of Cardiology and the American Heart Association’s Clinical Council.He is a Master of the AmericanCollege of Physicians and past governor for the Utah Chapter.He is past president, Utah Chapter, American Heart Association.He is Hononary Professor of Medical college of XianJiaoTongUniversity, Xian, China.

        Dr. Anderson has contributed to cardiovascular research over a broad area, including antiarrhythmic therapy and sudden cardiac death prevention, thrombolytic and antithrombotic therapy of acute myocardial infarction and unstable angina, trials in congestive heart failure, and, currently, research on genetic polymorphisms and other new risk factors for cardiovascular disease, including arrhythmias.He is an author or co-author on 500 original or invited publications and 350 abstracts.

        Together with Dr. Brent Muhlestein, he has established a large DNA and plasma bank (over 13,000 patients) for patients with cardiac catheterization data and long-term follow-up. Together, they have also established research and clinical collaborations with China (e.g., First Affiliated Hospitals of Xi’an Jiaotong University medical school ), extending back over 20 years. Current collaborations include the comparative contributions of genetic polymorphisms to cardiovascular disease in Han Chinese compared with European-American Caucasians. He also collaborates on cardiac electrophysiology of genetically related rhythm disorders with Dr. Li Zhang at LDSHospital.

        Dr. Anderson is Associate Chief of Cardiology, LDSHospital, where he also is Co-Director of Cardiac Research and Professor of Internal Medicine (with tenure), University of Utah.He regularly teaches medical and pre-medical students, housestaff, cardiology fellows, and physicians and has a busy cardiology clinical practice.
