         温森特博士是著名的心脏病学家，在遗传性心律失常研究领域享有盛誉，特别是对遗传性长Q-T综合征进行了长达３２年的研究，极富经验，成就斐然。他具有特色的临床研究是对一大的遗传性长Q-T综合征家系，前瞻性筛查每位先证者的家庭成员。这使得可对许多其它方法未能诊断的长Q-T综合征患者得以识别，并对他们进行纵向的随访观察。从这些患者资料中，首次发现了长Q-T综合征患者的遗传位点，同时发现了Q-T间期及症状表型外显率低的较大比例的长Q-T综合征患者。以他为作者或共同作者的论文或受邀撰写的专著及摘要达３００篇之多。

       他是犹他大学内科学教授，医学系副主任。也是美国犹他州盐湖城LDS医院医学部主任。他于１９６３年获犹他大学学士学位，１９６７年获该校博士学位，１９６７－１９７１年在马里兰州巴尔地摩圣霍普金斯医院任住院医师和心血管专科医师，１９７２年任犹他大学主治医师。

       Dr. G. Michael Vincent is a well known cardiologist and investigator in the area of genetically mediated cardiac arrhythmias, with particularly extensive experience in the inherited long QT syndrome (LQTS), which he has studied for 32 years.A novel feature of his clinical research has been the study of large families with LQTS, with prospective screening of many extended family members of each probands. This has allowed the identification of and longitudinal follow-up of many LQTS patients who would not otherwise have been diagnosed as LQTS patients. From this patient data set the first genetic findings in LQTS were identified (Keating, et al) as well as the significant percent of LQTS patients with reduced penetrance of both the QT and symptoms phenotypes. He is an author or co-author on 300 original or invited publications and abstracts.

       He is a Professor of Medicine and Associate Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the University of Utah, and the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at LDSHospital, in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

       He obtained B.A. (1963) and M.D. (1967) degrees from the University of Utah, performed an Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Fellowship at JohnsHopkinsHospital (1967-1971) in Baltimore, Maryland, and a Chief Medical Resident year (1972) at the University of Utah.
