365Heart: Appreciate you accept the 365Heart’s interview.  In current, there is a great improvement of interventional therapy in China and Overseas countries, and the interventional physicians are getting more and more.  Could you please introduce Abbott Vascular’s original intention for conducting the English Paper Writing Program for Chinese interventional physicians?
      Mr. Bhargava： As cardiovascular therapies advance in China, there is a need for Chinese interventionalists to publish these advances in peer-reviewed English journals in order to reach out to a world-wide audience.  The Duke-Abbott English Paper writing program has been developed to address that need and fits well within Abbott Vascular’s objective of providing high quality customized education and training programs for physicians.

      365Heart: Are there a lot of similar training conducted in the other countries? Which aspects does overseas training all aim at? What is the Effect ?
      Mr. Bhargava： This is the first time that Abbott Vascular has organized such a training in any country. What we hope to see is how is the training going here。That will decide Whether we should do such training in other country .In future, we shall assess other countries for similar opportunities but of course everything depends on specific needs of the countries.

      365Heart: Can you introduce which contents this training includes? What kind of impact, influence can Chinese interventional physicians get from this training program?
      Anurag Bhargava: We invited famous professors from Duke Clinical Research Institute and Abbott’s biostatistics expert to develop the contents and to conduct the course.  The 1.5 day course will have topics ranging from “Importance and Impact of Scientific Communication: Why is it important to Publish?” to “Evaluation and Review of Abstract and Manuscript submissions: grading and editorial review”. Additionally we have invited a Chinese physician to introduce his own English paper writing experience and the chief editor of Publishing House of Chinese Medical Association journal to give his perspective on publication acceptance.

      365Heart: Which training plans did Abbott Vascular provide for China"s doctor? What kind of special request for the doctors to  participate in this training program?
Anurag Bhargava: Abbott Vascular provides different kind of trainings for China’s physicians based on different needs.  For example, in order to enhance the skills and knowledge of interventional cardiologists, we conducted the first International Interventional Cardiology Fellow’s course 2007 in August at Huangzhou.
365Heart: What is the significance of Duke Abbott English Paper Writing Program for China’s interventional physicians?
      Anurag Bhargava: We hope through Duke-Abbott English Paper Writing Program, China’s interventional physicians can enhance their English paper writing skills. As a result, we expect to see more and more papers written by Chinese physicians getting published in the high level English Journals.

      心血管网：您好，非常感谢您接受心血管网的采访，目前介入治疗在国内外都已经有了长足的发展，从事介入治疗的医生也越来越多，请您谈一下雅培为中国介入医生举办此次培训会议的初衷是什么？
      Bhargava先生：由于中国心血管介入治疗的水平有了很大的发展，为了让全世界的读者了解这种发展，中国的介入医生需要在世界一流的英文杂志上来展示这种发展。为了满足中国医生的这种需求，提高他们的英语论文写作水平，Duke雅培英文论文写作项目为此提供了高质量的、针对性的教育和培训计划。

      心血管网：相似的培训在其他国家进行的多吗？国外的培训都针对哪些方面？效果如何？
      Bhargava先生：这是我们第一次在中国举行这样的英文论文写作项目。通过这个项目，我们希望看看医生的效果如何。如果效果很好，我们准备把这个项目推广到亚太地区.将来根据亚太地区不同国家的不同需要，我们来做这个项目。

      心血管网：能谈一下本次培训会都包括哪些内容？这些内容对中国的介入医生有哪些帮助？会产生什么样的影响？
      Bhargava先生：我们邀请了Duke大学很有名的教授来做为这次培训活动的演讲者，我们公司的生物统计专家也被邀请来作演讲。当然这一天半的课程涵盖许多主题，从“为什么发表论文是如此重要”到送审摘要和论文的评估：评分和编辑评论”等内容。此外我们也邀请了中国的医生来谈谈他们发表英文论文的个人经验，同时也邀请到了中华医学会杂志社的主编，请他从主编的角度来谈谈文章怎样才能发表。
      心血管网：雅培为中国的医生还提供了哪些培训计划？对参与培训的医生有什么样的特殊要求吗？
      Bhargava先生：针对中国医生的不同需要，雅培提供各种不同的培训计划。例如，今年八月在杭州我们举办了第一届国际介入医生培训项目。这个培训班主要是为了提高介入医生的介入知识和技巧。
      心血管网：Duke-Abbott培训对于介入医生特别是中国介入医生的意义是什么？
      Bhargava先生：我们希望通过Duke-Abbott英文论文写作项目能够让更多的中国介入医生提高他们的英文写作水平。最终，我们希望看到中国医生能够在一流的英文杂志上发表越来越多的文章。
